Update Course Information
Evergreen Disc Golf Course is located in Goleta, California, just west of Santa Barbara, in the Evergreen Open Space. The 18 Innova Disc Catcher baskets have been installed since 29 Sep 1995, and have been upgraded with double chains for 2001. The course is a par 54, and is approximately 4500 feet long from the standard tees. The tees are either buried 4x4's, decomposed granite pads, or marked with yellow spray paint on existing concrete walks. There are no tee signs pointing the way through the course, so you might find the downloadable map below to be helpful. Maps can sometimes be found in the map box mounted on the fence of the tennis courts, but unfortunately it is rarely stocked. There are many long tees on the course which are now marked by small black diamonds on the sidewalks, or orange stakes driven in flush with the ground in dirt areas. These are now marked on the downloadable map, however, the distances for the long tees have yet to be measured. Caution: There is a bit of poison oak in the park, so try to keep your disc out of the underbrush! There was also a reported tick sighting on the back nine last summer (2001), so you may want to do a quick tick inspection after finishing your round.Proper course etiquette is important, please be courteous to other park users and players when using the course. Let faster parties play through, record your scores on the next tee box not at the baskets, and keep your groups to four persons or less when the course is crowded.
